LAKE HAVASU CITY – Casino Night at the Lake Havasu Yacht Club was this past Saturday, Nov 11 at the Havasu Yacht Club.  This was a fundraising event for the Mohave County Boating Safety Program whose mission is to provide boating safety to the community through education and volunteer opportunities.  It was in 1969 when three enthusiasts of boating thought they should form a yacht club. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The excitement is building as the Havasu Community Health Foundation (HCHF) prepares for their 32nd Annual Elegant Evenings Fashion Show fundraiser. The Cancer Association is with HCHF and was organized in 1999 by group of local volunteers.  The aim is to put emphasize on cancer screenings at a low cost. The group provides education and a support system for cancer patients and their families.  They are strong believers that early detection is best method to increase positive diagnosis.
