Sex with teen brings plea deal

Silvestre Gonzalez

BULLHEAD CITY – The court has broad discretion when it sentences a male adult who engaged in sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl in Ft. Mohave. Silvestre Gonzalez, 29, pleaded guilty Nov. 3 to a charge reduced to attempted sexual conduct with a minor.

Deputy Mohave County Attorney Phillip Delgado said that Gonzalez had sex with the teen in his car that he parked in front of the victim’s house in March. Terms of the deal allow for probation all the way up to 15 years in prison.

Sentencing is scheduled Dec. 4 before Superior Court Judge Lee Jantzen.
