Toys for Tots golf tourney returns

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Kiwanis doesn’t drop the ball when it comes to giving at their 47th annual Toys for Tots Golf Tournament, to be held Saturday, Dec. 2. Kiwanis stays active in improving the lives of local children.  Kiwanis has been a favorable significance in Mohave County by showing their support with a network of volunteers who are passionate about Kiwanis’s mission. Shambaugh & Son breaks ground at the Kingman Industrial Park

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Department of Economic Development is pleased to announce that Shambaugh & Son broke ground in the Industrial Park on November 15, 2023. Construction is underway for the company’s 72,000 square ft. fabrication facility. Progressive Pipe Fabricators, a division of Shambaugh, will fabricate and deliver over 20,000 individual sprinkler pipes per week. The building will be in the Kingman Industrial Park on Historic Route 66. Aquarius, Edgewater continue Thanksgiving tradition for homeless students

LAUGHLIN / BULLHEAD CITY – Dozens of students and their families in the Bullhead City and Colorado River Union High School Districts will again have traditional Thanksgiving meals, following donations by the Aquarius and Edgewater Casino Resorts in Laughlin, Hope United Methodist Church in Bullhead City, the Bullhead City Lions Club and an anonymous benefactor. Eighty four turkey meals with trimmings from side dishes to dessert were provided by Golden Entertainment’s Aquarius/Edgewater “Feed A Family” program.  BCSD received 40 “Feed A Family” meals, plus ten from Hope UMC, six from the Lions Club and another ten from an anonymous donor. …

Shuffler plea rejected, trial set

KINGMAN – Trial has been scheduled next spring after local attorneys informed the Court that they’ve been unable to reach an acceptable plea agreement in the adult prosecution of a Kingman teenager charged in the deaths and injuries of fellow Lee Williams High School student athletes. Defense attorney Brad Rideout rejected separate state offers to resolve the case against Brady Shuffler in a plea deal subjecting the 16-year-old to a mandatory 16-year sentence or allowing Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle to select from a 16- to 24-year prison range. Carlisle scheduled Shuffler’s trial to start April 29 next year…

Karen Lou Czymbor

Karen Lou Czymbor (Scott), 79, of Golden Valley, Arizona, passed away on November 1, 2023 after a long and hard fight with dementia on November 1st 2023. Karen was born on October 12, 1944 to Claude and Irene Scott in Saginaw, Michigan. After graduating from Arthur Hill High School, Karen married Joseph R. Czymbor on September 21, 1963. They had two daughters, AnnMarie and Patricia. In 1990 Karen and Joseph moved to Kingman, AZ. Then finally built their forever home in Golden Valley, AZ.
