LAKE HAVASU CITY – A 13-week Master Gardener training course will be held Thursdays from Jan. 18, 2024 through April 18, 2024. The classes will be from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  at Mohave Community College, 1977 Acoma Blvd W. This course provides research-based horticulture information you can use as a Master Gardener volunteer or to become a more successful gardener in your own backyard! Vaughan convicted of sex offenses

KINGMAN – A Kingman man convicted of sex offenses involving young males faces life behind bars. Deputy Mohave County Attorney Amanda Claerhout says tough punishment under Arizona law requires imposition of mandatory life terms plus additional years in prison for 28-year-old Alexander Vaughan. A Mohave County Superior Court jury deliberated more than three hours last Thursday and Friday before finding Vaughan guilty of six counts of sexual conduct with a minor. Traffic stop nets 4,000 fentanyl pills

KINGMAN – The Kingman police department reports a significant drug seizure following a Nov. 28 traffic stop. Deputy police chief Joel Freed said officers conducting traffic enforcement on westbound Interstate 40 pulled over a van after observing it being in an erratic manner and nearly colliding with another vehicle at mile post 56 at about 6:15 p.m. Officers reportedly made contact with the driver, Robert Romero, 45, and his passenger Andrew Harrison, 45, both of Kingman. KINGMAN – Kingman police report the arrest of a mental-health troubled Golden Valley man responsible for a Nov. 27 disturbance at a fast-food establishment in the 3300 block of East Andy Devine Ave. Officers responded to Taco Bell at 1:55 p.m. Deputy Chief Joel Freed said it was learned that Adam Vandusseldorp, 39, had tossed food trays and assaulted staff members inside the store. KINGMAN – Interstate Warehousing opens its brand-new frozen food storage and shipping center Monday in the Griffith Energy Industrial park, about 15 miles south of Kingman. A 30-member workforce is ready for initial operation of the 273,000 sq. ft. facility, the 10th cold storage warehouse for the Fort Wayne, Indiana-based corporation. “This is neat getting outside of the mid-west.
