Master Gardener training class accepting applications

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A 13-week Master Gardener training course will be held Thursdays from Jan. 18, 2024 through April 18, 2024. The classes will be from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  at Mohave Community College, 1977 Acoma Blvd W.

This course provides research-based horticulture information you can use as a Master Gardener volunteer or to become a more successful gardener in your own backyard! Topics include soils, basic botany, irrigation, landscape design, composting, plant propagation, basic ecology, vegetables, stake and prune trees/shrubs, citrus trees, native plants, entomology, pest management, and plant diseases. 

The cost of the class is $200. The deadline for registration is Friday, Jan. 12, 2024.
