The very FIRST Pride Festival for Mohave County is finally taking place in Kingman, on June 8 at Metcalfe Park! This year they are working with Sonoran Prevention Works out of Phoenix to help them reach more folks in need, and will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the beer garden to them. Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation is offering many great programs for kids this summer. Activities include summer swim lessons, beginning swim league, basketball clinic, and Summer Camps. Park and Recreation has what people are looking for! Cornell College conferred degrees on 210 students during its annual Commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 12. That includes Katherine Baker of Lake Havasu City, with degrees in International Relations and Spanish. Cornell’s graduates come from around the world, and 62 of them finished two or more majors. In addition, two students received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, one a Bachelor of Music, 12 Bachelor of Special Studies, and 195 earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
