Lawyer withdraws as Yamauchi’s legal counsel

The purported ringleader of allege massage parlor prostitution operations in Bullhead City and Lake Havasu needs a new lawyer. Defense attorney Brad Rideout has been allowed to withdraw as legal counsel for Amanda Yamauchi, 47. The woman who claims residency in Las Vegas with ties to both Colorado River communities in Arizona is charged in a multi count indictment accusing her of involvement in human trafficking and forcing women to work as prostitutes. Slolari to receive 5-20 years with second deal

A Needles resident who recently accepted a mandatory prison plea agreement for his involvement in a Bullhead City-based opioid ring has taken another deal resolving four other criminal cases. Matthew Solari, 31, will get a 2.5 year prison term in the first agreement convicting him of possessing narcotic drugs and forgery for using a false prescription to obtain pills at a pharmacy in Lake Havasu City.    The first case that also involved seven other defendants was handled by the Arizona Attorney General’s office. The Route 66 Fun Run® is the largest and longest standing Route 66 rally in the world. The 2019 Run will take place May 3 to May 5 and this year marks the 32nd annual celebration. The Fun Run is not a timed race but a 140 mile pleasure cruise of classic and custom vehicles that traverse the Mother Road from Seligman, AZ to Topock/Golden Shores, AZ. Powsey receives 2.5 years

Belligerent behavior at a fast food drive thru in Kingman that prompted his drug-related arrest sends a Peach Springs man to the Arizona Department of Corrections. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle ordered a 2.5-year prison term during an April 16 sentencing hearing for Danny Powsey, 48.    Police reports indicated that Powsey drew attention to himself when he spoke rudely while interacting with staff at the drive thru at Taco Bell on Andy Devine Avenue last November.    Deputy county attorney Kellen Marlow said an employee spotted an open container of beer in the interior of Powsey’s vehicle….

Stockton Hill Road re-pavement to begin May 5

The City of Kingman received regulatory approvals from the Arizona State Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), and have started transitioning customers to the new main. Crews will continue to work on tie-ins the remainder of this week, and Sunday night April 28. Water outages are planned to occur at night and outside business hours, so we encourage people to still visit businesses in the work zones.
