Quagga mussels have infested the southwestern United States after being first identified in Lake Mead in 2007. Since then the species has spread throughout the Colorado River, from Lake Powell to Imperial Dam. An investigation of suspected heroin sales from a residence in Lake Havasu City culminated in a seizure and arrest on Wednesday. Police Detective Chris Angus said officers effected a traffic stop after the target of the investigation, Jacob Olson, 21, drove from the suspect residence in the 2600 block of Tanglewood Place. Olson was taken into custody for five previous heroin sales. Angius said officers found Olson to be concealing more than 19 grams of heroin when he was being detained at the police jail facility. The City of Kingman would like to invite the public to an informational workshop regarding the Kingman Municipal Airport’s ongoing master plan. The workshop will take place Tuesday, June 11, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Kingman Airport Administration Building, 7000 Flightline Dr. This will be an open-house format, so attendees are welcome to drop in at any time.
