Dear Editor, Dystopia, Per Merriam Webster: an imagined world or society in which people lead wretched, dehumanized, fearful lives. Dystopia is no longer an imagined society or world coming full speed our way. Just take a look at the misery and suffering of the millions of homeless on the streets of our once great nation. Navajo Bridge Interpretive Center near Lees Ferry closing December 1

The center will re-open next spring LEES FERRY – On Sunday, December 1, the National Park Service’s Navajo Bridge Interpretive Center near Lees Ferry will close for the season. Until December 1, hours remain 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 7 days a week (except Thanksgiving, November 28, when it will close for the day). The Navajo Bridge Interpretive Center will re-open next spring. The Navajo Bridge Interpretive Center is located on Highway 89A on the west side of Navajo Bridge, near Lees Ferry. KINGMAN – Harmony Hospice Bereavement Services hosts a grief support group every Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the WACOG building, 208 N. Fourth St., Room 210. Their motto is, “We Understand the Struggle: You Are Not Alone,” and offers group support for anyone experiencing any loss that has cause grief and sadness. Hunters get second shot at doves beginning Friday

Arizona dove hunters will be able to double their wing-shooting pleasure when the state’s “second” season begins Friday, Nov. 22. Unlike the 15-day season that begins Sept. 1, the late season lasts 45 days and runs through Jan. 5, 2020. There still is a 15-bird daily bag limit, all of which must be mourning doves. The possession limit remains 45 mourning doves after opening day, of which no more than 15 may be taken in any one day.
