KINGMAN – City offices will be closed in observance of the Christmas Holiday, Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25, in Kingman. In addition, there will be no commercial trash service on Wednesday, December 25. Wednesday commercial customers should put their cans out one day late; residential customers will not be affected. Mohave County rolls back sales tax for 2020

Mohave County residents will embrace a reduction in the Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) at the stroke of midnight on December 31. A 20-year quarter-cent sales tax increment implemented by the Board of Supervisors in 1999 will sunset before dawn of the New Year. Financial Services Director Coral Loyd said the quarter-cent tax generated almost $122 million by October of this year and that the 20-year total through December is projected at $123 million. One dead, one injured in domestic violence incident

FT. MOHAVE – A domestic violence incident has resulted in a deceased man, and a woman with multiple gunshot wounds this afternoon, Sunday, Dec. 22. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MSCO) responded to a domestic violence call in the 2600 block of Phillip Circle at about 12:28 p.m. According to an MCSO press release, when deputies arrived on scene they found a deceased man at the resident with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Couple survive airplane crash near Lake Havasu

LAKE HAVASU – Multiple agencies responded to a downed airplane near Lake Havasu on Sunday, Dec. 22. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Division of Boating Safety, members of the MSCO Dive and Rescue Team, and Lake Havasu City Fire Department personnel converged at Lake Havasu where they had received multiple reports that a plane went down over the lake. Firefighters remind residents to watch what you heat!

BULLHEAD CITY – On Wednesday, December 18, several of Bullhead City Fire Department (BHCFD) crews responded to a singlewide mobile home fire in the 2200 block of Coronado Dr. Firefighters confirmed that all occupants had safely evacuated the home, began an offensive attack and were able to knock down the blaze quickly.
