The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has announced the promotion of Justin Sharpe to the rank of Sergeant. Sharpe has demonstrated that he has the knowledge, experience, and determination to excel in his new rank at the Adult Detention Facility. He is recognized as a valuable member of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. Sharpe started his career as a Detention Officer in April of 2013. Shirley Marie Nolan, of Kingman, died Thursday, February 6, 2020. She was 86. Mrs. Nolan was born Aug. 3, 1933 in Ecorse, Michigan. A service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m. at the Chloride Cemetery, with interment following. The family contact is Mrs. Nolan’s daughter Amy Jo Nolan. Victim was stabbed multiple times; Nelson pleads guilty

BULLHEAD CITY – A stabbing at a behavioral health residential facility in Bullhead City will result in a prison term for one of the combatants. Ethan Nelson, 29, pleaded guilty Thursday, February 6 to aggravated assault. Terms of the deal require Judge Doug Camacho to impose a 2- to 8.75-year prison term during a March 18 sentencing hearing. Bullhead City police said Nelson stabbed his 60-year-old roommate multiple times last November at the Good Care Network home in the 2200 block of Ventura Drive.
