A Short Story by Jack Mint Grass grows over most of the up and down landscape. A few places are islands of bare gravel. They are surrounded by yellowing halos where the green of that grass sank to somewhere else below the footsteps of ants. They proceed in the sporadic lines of a march step they’ve known forever creased in the crisscross nature of continuing. BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City is once again gearing up for a large sports tourism weekend that is expected to have a significant impact on the local economy. KINGMAN – Due to Presidents’ Day falling on Monday, Feb. 17, the next Mohave County Board of Supervisors Meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 18 at 9:30 a.m. in Kingman at the county’s administration building at 700 W. Storage unit burglar takes plea

KINGMAN – A plea agreement has been entered for a Bullhead City storage unit burglar. James Koryta, 46, pleaded guilty to three felony burglary charges during a February 11 hearing at the Mohave County Courthouse. Five other burglary charges and a criminal damage count are dismissed in the deal. Prosecutor Greg McPhillips said Koryta and co-defendant Eric Covell, 27, took property from eight different units at the Storage Stop business in the 3000 block of Highway 95 at the end of last September.
