Kingman aquatics open, city offices closed for Independence Day

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman offices will be closed Friday, July 3, in honor of Independence Day. There will be no residential or commercial trash service on Friday; Thursday and Friday customers should put their cans out one day early. KART services will not be available Friday, July 3 or Saturday July 4, as well. City aquatics facilities will be open Friday, July 3 and Saturday July 4, under their regular schedule listed on the city website. County library addition continues

KINGMAN – T.R. Orr Incorporated is making progress as it remodels and expands the Mohave County District Library on Burbank Street in Kingman. Library Director Kathy Pennell said the $4.3-million project continues tracking toward completion before the end of the year. Deputy found innocent of wrongdoing in shooting death

KINGMAN – A Mohave County Attorney’s Office review confirms a Kingman police department conclusion that an ex-con fatally shot himself in the head just before he suffered a gunshot to the elbow from a round fired by Mohave County Sheriff’s deputy Kevin Gunnoe. County attorney Matt Smith reviewed the independent shooting investigation and the medical examiner report involving the May 13 death of Buddy Dale Lott, 50. “Lott died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his left temple.
