Disregarding expert opinion is folly

Stupidity, hug? I wonder if the writer of the letter calling those of us who choose to wear masks and practice social distancing to protect ourselves and other from COVID-19 would, in his infinite wisdom, allow a surgeon to perform surgery on him without anyone in the O.R. wearing a mask? If has been well over a century ago the medical profession began postulating wearing gloves, masks, and using sterile equipment in a sterile environment, reduced nosocomial infections in post-op patients. Granted, there is now a fringe group questioning the veracity of such procedures. Just as there are those who…

To mask or not should be a personal choice

Dear Editor, In reference to any possible discussion and/or action regarding any government entity requiring the individuals or businesses to wear masks, I stand in full support that the decision to wear a mask or any other personal protective equipment is to be left at the sole discretion of the individual or business. History repeats itself as evidenced throughout time. With the expansion of social media (and mainstream media), we are one step closer to losing our own history. The “art of research” has taken a backstep to “feelings” that compare to a basic belief system. A belief system that…

Freedom

Kudos to Mr. Hall at All American Pizza in Golden Valley. That outdoor benefit car show for the veterans was the best one I’ve seen, with 190 cars and trucks. The internal combustion engine will be here for generations to come. Classic cars and trucks will be here, too. I’m not saying electric cars are bad, but if the socialists win and that New Green Deal is implemented, it’s the death of our nation, period. That car show was held at the end of February, just as the Coronavirus came to America full force. Kudos to the new heroes, the…
