COVID-19 testing available in Kingman, Lake Havasu City

MOHAVE COUNTY – CVS Pharmacy is now offering COVID-19 tests  in Lake Havasu City and Kingman. The testing will be available Monday through Sunday. CVS is located at 75 North Lake Havasu Avenue in Lake Havasu and at 3501 Stockton Hill Road in Kingman. There is no charge for the testing, although your insurance card is needed. It must be done through an appointment obtained online at www.cvs.com. Appointments can be made for 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday.

DeAnda completed her Associates of Arts in Substance Abuse and Counseling. Airport to host remote informational workshop

KINGMAN – The Kingman Municipal Airport will be hosting an informational workshop regarding the ongoing Airport Master Plan, on Wednesday, July 29. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a video presentation will replace the third open house originally scheduled as part of public outreach efforts. COVID-19 update: 74 new cases, one death

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Thursday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 74 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and that includes one death not previously reported. The one death is that of a 90+ year age range person and it’s a case in the Bullhead City service area that was not previously reported. Of the 73 other cases, 26 cases are in the Lake Havasu City service area. There are 25 cases in the Bullhead City service area. Kingman Council approves P&Z matters

KINGMAN – Planning and Zoning recommendations were approved during the July 21 Kingman City Council meeting. Parcels roughly one and two-acres in size on the south corner of N Bank Street and Gordon Drive are rezoned from rural residential to commercial. Owner applicants Gregory and Michael Seitz have indicated apartment complexes could be developed on the parcels. They are not bound by that initial plan, however, and are free to pursue other projects on the property. Governor Ducey issues executive order to further protect public health

Governor Doug Ducey yestserday extended an executive order pausing operations on gyms, bars, nightclubs, movie theaters, water parks, and tubing. The order also continues to prohibit large public events and enables local law enforcement to take immediate enforcement action to ensure compliance with the order.
