On Saturday, Oct. 2, Kevin Cropper passed away in Kingman. He was born in San Diego, CA on Nov. 2, 1971, making him 49 years old at his passing. He is survived by his wife, Kalli Cropper. Arrangements were made by Desert View Funeral Chapel and he was buried by cremation by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.
KINGMAN – A significant Airport Industrial Park land sale was approved without discussion at Tuesday’s Kingman City council meeting. The matter was rubber stamped along with a number of other items on the consent agenda. A Colorado-based development company submitted the only bid for the 30-acre parcel at the business park, home mostly to manufacturing activity and more than 2,000 jobs. Dear Editor, Right now, there are three groups of Property Owners who want to start up a Valle Vista Fire District, which would include Valle Vista, Hackberry, Valentine, and Truxton. They want to break away from Northern AZ. Fire District and the Fire Board and the Fire Chief. The first group is for the Northern AZ. Fire Dept. and has received good and prompt service and they have saved lives and property and they are very happy with NAFD. The second group are Property Owners that have had bad service and have lost lives and property because they got lost….
Dear Editor, The month of October is designated as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The overall goal is to bring awareness to the severity of every act of domestic violence. Domestic violence can affect any race, gender, and social status. The abuse can exist in many aspects of a relationship, which can include isolation from society and families, emotional abuse, economic abuse, using children, abuse with technology, and sexual abuse. On Monday, Sept. 27, James Coleman passed away. He was 82 years old. A resident of Golden Valley, Coleman was originally born in Beckley, West Virginia. There will be a service on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery. The family contact is Frances Mains. Arrangements were made by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.
MOHAVE COUNTY – Supervisor Travis Lingenfelter believes Mohave County is wasting resources on COVID-19 reporting. Lingenfelter questioned the policy during Monday’s Board meeting as Department of Public Health Director Denise Burley provided another coronavirus update as she’s done many times during the 18-month pandemic.
