Dear Editor, A young adult lady in Johnson County, Kentucky was recently faithfully working her convenient store register job. She had a line of patrons buying drinks and paying for gasoline. Someone asked her how much money she made. “Nine dollars an hour,” she said. “I’ve worked here over two years and the pay has been $9 an hour. I’ve asked for a raise. I work hard. Dear Editor, Unfortunately, Kingman Mayor Jen Miles apparently did not do her homework. Otherwise she would not have said what she did about Congressman Gosar’s “continued support” for federal funding of the Kingman Municipal Airport, December 15th edition of The Standard. If she had, she might understand that while Gosar may support the plan, he certainly did not vote for the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, which supplied the funds. Be that as it may, while Mr. Gosar did not vote for the plan it seems he doesn’t mind accepting the credit for its benefits to the airport. Does…
