Gosar hypocritical?

Dear Editor,

Unfortunately, Kingman Mayor Jen Miles apparently did not do her homework. Otherwise she would not have said what she did about Congressman Gosar’s “continued support” for federal funding of the Kingman Municipal Airport, December 15th edition of The Standard.

If she had, she might understand that while Gosar may support the plan, he certainly did not vote for the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, which supplied the funds.

Be that as it may, while Mr. Gosar did not vote for the plan it seems he doesn’t mind accepting the credit for its benefits to the airport. Does the term “hypocrite” seem applicable here?

What bears repeating, if voters are tempted to vote these insurrectionists back into office, then we deserve the alternative to a democratic form of government, one much like those in China, Russia, or North Korea. Can you envision the new Pledge of Allegiance stating “one nation under Trump,” rather than the current “one nation under God?”
