Andy Awards celebrate Kingman’s community

The Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce held its 45th Annual Andy Devine Awards at the Elks Lodge #468 recognizing Chamber Members for a number of achievements. Those who received awards did so by working to make the Kingman community a better place. Nominees were awarded in 11 different categories. Beginning with the Pledge of Allegiance, an invocation was followed by remarks from the Chamber of Commerce organizers. Commissioner position finalists

KINGMAN – 4 Kingman based attorneys are recommended for possible appointment as Mohave County Court Commissioner. The bench vacancy was created last month when Commissioner Megan McCoy was promoted to serve out the term of retired Superior Court Judge Charles Gurtler. The Mohave County Superior Court Committee on Special Judicial Officer Appointments on Monday recommended that Prosecutor David Wayt and Legal Advocate Aaron Demke be considered for the Commission post. The panel is recommending that Civil Division Attorney Tyler Palmer and Assistant Arizona Attorney General Amy Gardner also be considered.
