A special thanks to KRMC

Dear Editor, I want to thank all of the amazing staff and doctors at KRMC from imaging to pre-op and post-op. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I couldn’t have had better care and professionalism and efficiency anywhere. From my first mammogram to pre-op and post-op, I always felt cared for and safe. The amazing care I received at KRMC lead me to want to thank the dedicated, hardworking, and loving staff I encountered on my very scary journey. Because of all of you at KRMC, I get to live life longer and to enjoy my family and friends…

2021 County Fair completed

Fair Association Chairman Jerry McGuire has thanked Mohave County Supervisors for allowing the group to host the annual County Fair that concluded Sunday. The Board previously delayed its planned takeover of the facility leased by the Association, allowing the organization to complete events on the 2021 calendar. McGuire told Supervisors during their Monday Board meeting that this year’s Fair could be the biggest in county history, but that he doesn’t yet have financial or attendance data to share. “I think we owe you all a big thank you for your help and support on having this event,” McGuire said. County…

Mohave County jobs available

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County conducted a job fair in late August in an effort to generate interest in scores of vacant positions. County Manager Sam Elters told the Board of Supervisors Monday that more than 130 positions remain open within the organization and that the county had difficulty in sparking interest and applications before the job fair held in Kingman. “We attracted a little over 130 people and that generated 100 applications,” Elters said of the job fair during the Board meeting in Kingman. “Just about every department participated and had someone present. We had computers on hand to…

Why? I Don’t Know

Dear Editor, The Valle Vista Property Owners Association sent out a ballot for three Volunteer Board members and five Volunteer Architectural Board members. Two of the past Volunteer Board members want to be re-elected and one will be vacant. Why? I don’t know! This process costs $5,000 and the VPOA didn’t ask for a raise in the assessment. Why? I don’t know! VVPOA doesn’t need seven Volunteer Board members. Five would be enough and they don’t seem to want to follow the by-laws and CL-Rs of Valle Vista. Why? I don’t know. The Chairman is a retired postal employee, and…

Focus on what you do

Dear Editor, If you want a friend, be a friend. There is never a guarantee. However, if you do not put anything into a friendship, it’s certain the friendship will never grow. Keep in mind that friendships take time. The Bible says, “a man of too many friends will soon come to ruin” (Proverbs 18:24). Why is this? Because too much time maintaining too many friends doesn’t allow you the time you need to work your job, spend time with your family, do your schoolwork, life work, or take care of your business. If a person has ten or twenty friends…
