As one of eight children, Maria was a spunky and mischievous child who enjoyed playing outside. She graduated from Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Florida. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Tuesday, March 26 City Council meeting was the first gathering at the new Lake Havasu courthouse at 92 Acoma Boulevard South. In honor of Women’s History Month, the city’s report shared that the first inaugural flag was hung at Mohave Community College. KINGMAN – On Friday, March 29, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Day was observed at Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Kingman. The ceremony was hosted and coordinated by the Vietnam Veterans of America, (VVA) Chapter 995 in Kingman. The Vietnam Veterans Recognition Act was signed into law in 2017. designating March 29 as Vietnam Veterans Memorial Day.
