Dear Editor,
I am writing it as a long-time subscriber to The Standard, a newspaper my wife and I have enjoyed for many years. We take exception with the article, “Lame duck president lands Saudi-gift jet in BHC” in the October 22, 2026 publication. This is how your newspaper reports that the President of the United States visits Mohave County? The article is not only terrible journalism, it reeks of TDS and is disrespectful to the sitting president and the citizens of Mohave County. Also, it was the government of Qatar who gifted the 747 to the United States, not the “Saudis” as the article states.
If this is the direction that The Standard is now taking, unprofessional hack-type journalism, then we will not be renewing our subscription.
