Drivers, parents reminded of school bus safety

MOHAVE COUNTY – Three area public school superintendents have banded together to remind drivers that school buses will again be picking up and dropping off students, as the 2023-2024 school year gets under way.  In addition to buses, students will also be walking or riding bicycles to and from school, and sometimes crossing the street to and from bus stops. It looked like a murder scene, but it wasn’t a murder scene

KINGMAN – The alley, cops and yellow tape looked realistic. It wasn’t a real crime scene. Although that alley has and can be the scene of various misdemeanors and felonies, this was just a simple video shoot. Nothing to be worried about. The video will add to a plan to attract new police recruits and lateral transfers to the…

If we are honest with ourselves the answer is No. Often, we trust in ourselves, and only after things get difficult, we turn to God. Totally Trusting in God requires Genuine Faith. Our Faith is not as genuine (pure) as it should be. Our Faith is contaminated with impurities, such as: pride, selfishness, unforgiveness, lack of patience, moral corruption, and guilt. Many of us think Our Faith is genuine, we don’t see the impurities in Our Own Faith. God allows Christians to…

Annual Desert Juggernaut’s Mini Triathlon promises challenges

BULLHEAD CITY – A triathlon consists of three legs of athletic endeavor: swim, bike, run, in that order. Length is what determines the level of athleticism displayed. The top tier triathlon, an Ironman, is a 2.4-mile (3.9k) swim, followed by a 112-mile (180.2k) bicycle race, and finished up with a 26.2-mile (marathon-length, 42.2k) run. The average time ranges from 14-17 hours, although many organizers extend that for athletes who had a tire repair/tube replace slow her down. No? Yea, us neither. Maybe something shorter? Easier? But still challenging? Then check out the 19th annual Desert Juggernaut’s Mini Triathlon on Aug….
