Nine musicians to perform at Lake Havasu country music festival

LAKE HAVASU CITY – If you’re someone who loved last month’s Rockabilly Reunion, The Wake the Lake Country Music Festival promises not to disappoint. Organizer of the concert Kennie Cuppetelli is at it again with bringing another festive musical occasion to Lake Havasu. Cuppetelli is the founder of last year’s London Bridge Days Music festival and the famed Rockabilly events.

Wake the Lake Country Music Festival will be on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Lake Havasu State Park. Tickets for this event can be purchased by visiting https://www.eventbrite.com/e/wake-the-lake-country-festival-tickets-849513938057?aff=oddtdtcreator

With nine musicians scheduled to be in attendance, the Wake the Lake concert will be no exception when it comes to providing a day with some of country music’s most talented musicians. One of those performers will be Colt Ford. The Georgia musician’s career that began to skyrocket in 2012.

Ford’s debut song landed him on Billboard Top Country Albums chart with his patriotic fueled song, “Declaration of Independence.” Two years later, the musician began an experimental phase of his career by combining two unlikely music genres: Rap and country. Ford’s combo song “Thanks for Listening,” reached number one Billboard Rap and Independent charts.

In the years to come, the performer has sold three million albums. Bridging the gap between the two music styles, he invented a whole new sound that is referred to as country rap. Last year he partnered up with rappers Jermaine Dupri and Kevin Gates for his eclectic tune titled, “Hood.” The musician’s goal is to unify people of all backgrounds through music and powerful messages. Currently, Ford has millions of fans on social media and he will be the first one to admit that his success is all owed to his fans.

“The fans are the reason I’m here. I’m going to keep doing it for them. I feel like the luckiest man on planet earth, so I’m not stopping.”

Wake the Lake will be giving audiences the opportunity to see a real-life descendant of legendary country musicians, Jessi Colter and Waylon Jennings. Whey Jennings is their grandson and will be taking to the stage to perform hit songs of his own. With the musical DNA roaming throughout his system, Jennings’ career began emerging about twelve years ago.

Even though the artist is in the midst of creating his own legacy, fans of vintage country harmonies can appreciate that you can hear the echoes of his iconic grandparents’ style through his music. A complete schedule of performances at the event can be viewed by visiting https://www.wakethelakecountryfestival.com/schedule-of-events/.

A country music festival just simply isn’t the same without including some authentic country fun activities. Mechanical inflatable bull riding will be available right along with line dance instruction. Instruction will take place throughout the day for anyone curious about boot scooting or maybe just those wanting to brush up on knocking boots. There will also be a cornhole tournament where various age groups can compete. Giddy up all country music enthusiasts and have the time of your life at this year’s Wake the Lake Country Music Festival.
