Aerial tourism management plan sought

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Park Service (NPS) announce the availability of a proposed commercial air tour management voluntary agreement for Lake Mead National Recreation Area. This agreement would guide the FAA and NPS in the management of commercial air tours over the park.  The proposed voluntary agreement addresses many unique challenges while improving the condition of park resources and ensuring safe air tour operations. It was developed between the FAA, seven air tour operators, and the NPS in consultation with Native American Tribes. A 30-day public review period on the proposed agreement began on March 20, 2024….

Shuffler scheduled for sentencing April 15

KINGMAN – A Kingman teenager who pleaded guilty in a tragic traffic accident is scheduled to be sentenced to prison on April 15, two days after the first anniversary of the deaths of Tatum Meins, 17 and Sherene “Siri” Walema, 15. Brady Shuffler, 17, is expected to be taken into custody at the end of the hearing to begin serving an extended period of incarceration under terms of the plea agreement convicting him of two counts each of manslaughter and aggravated assault. KINGMAN, Ariz. – The City of Kingman would like to notify the community that there will be a series of concrete trucks working on the Eastern Street Project site. The trucks are scheduled to arrive starting at 4:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 28th in the area of Diamond Street and Kenwood Avenue. This will be the first of two large concrete pours for the culvert portion of the project. FLAGSTAFF – The Grand Canyon Regional Intertribal Intergenerational Stewardship Expedition (RIISE) is accepting applications from young people ages 16-20 who identify as members of one of the associated tribes of the Grand Canyon for its third annual free nine-day Colorado River rafting trip through the Grand Canyon July 15-23. Hosted by the Grand Canyon Trust and Grand Canyon Youth and supported by Arizona Raft Adventures and Grand Canyon Expeditions, the trip is designed to connect Indigenous young people with their ancestral homelands.
