Fireworks bans for Mohave County

MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. – Mohave County is implementing outdoor fire and permissible consumer fireworks use prohibitions in all unincorporated areas of the county, effective 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024, due to current and continued hazardous fire risk conditions within the county that include high temperatures, dry conditions (low relative humidity levels), low fuel moisture levels and sustained winds that can include gusts.

BLM initiates environmental analysis of the Socorro Solar Energy Project

LAKE HAVASU, Ariz. — The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking public input to inform development of an environmental assessment for the proposed Socorro Solar Energy project in southeastern La Paz County. As currently proposed, the Socorro project would produce up to 350 megawatts of renewable energy from solar photovoltaic modules on up to 5,850 acres of public land.
