Let us be appreciative of our freedom this fourth of July week.
Recently, I was taking a late night walk in Owenton, Kentucky. Owenton is a little town of maybe six hundred people in rural north central Kentucky. I had just finished watching the sad Biden-Trump debate and decided that a walk and some ice cream sounded good.

No injuries in house fire

BULLHEAD CITY – No one was hurt in a residential structure fire in Bullhead City. Fire Department personnel responded at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2 to the incident in the 2500 block of Country Club Place. “Firefighters encountered heavy smoke coming from the roofline of the residence,” a news release said. “Crews worked diligently despite challenges posed by a partial roof collapse.

Suspects chased arrested in drug deals

BULLHEAD CITY – Two drug dealing suspects reportedly led officers during separate police pursuits before one jumped into the Colorado River with a bag full of illegal drugs. The June 27 incident began at 7:00 a.m. when the wanted couple, Thomas Morgan, 35, and Ashley Nail, 33, first eluded Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies during an attempted traffic stop in Mohave Valley.
