PHOENIX (AP) — Three Mexican migrants have died in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona near the U.S.-Mexico border as high temperatures soar well into the triple digits across parts of the Southwest.

The U.S. Border Patrol reported Friday that the bodies of two men, ages 44 and 18, and a 17-year-old girl were found in the desert early Wednesday in an area called Sheep Mountain, which is in southwestern Arizona on the Barry M.

PHOENIX – Work is scheduled to get underway Thursday, July 11, on a free-flowing interchange connecting US 93 and Interstate 40 in Kingman.

The $106 million project is planned to eliminate delays that can occur for passenger and truck traffic on the main route between Las Vegas and Arizona. While traffic now must stop at a traffic signal where Beale Street intersects with I-40, a system-to-system interchange will feature ramps that allow traffic to flow freely.

PHOENIX — Arizona hunters who were unsuccessful in the recent 2024 fall draw still have an opportunity to receive a hunt permit-tag for deer or javelina.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) has posted a list of leftover hunt permit-tags, as well as a printable paper application on its website.
