Carl Leroy Burchfield passed away at his home in Golden Valley, AZ on March 7. He was born April 1, 1935 in Terre Haute, IN to Walter J. and Kathryn (Otte) Burchfield, and resided in Rosedale, IN while growing up. Carl is survived by Joanith (Joslyn) Burchfield, his wife of 68 years; his two sons Terry L. Burchfield and Timothy M. Burchfield (Lori) of Golden Valley, AZ; brother Larry Burchfield of Terre Haute, IN; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Mohave County and the entire Colorado River community are currently fighting the latest such 4th priority Colorado River water transfer attempt by GSC Farm (a subsidiary of Mass Mutual out of Boston) which is pushing to transfer 2,033 acre-feet (662 million gallons) to the Town of…
