KINGMAN – Kingman police report the death of an off-duty DPS officer who was fighting with another man when he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday. The victim is identified as Leo Becenti Jr., 54. Kingman Police Chief Rusty Cooper said officers learned a man had been hit by a vehicle while responding to a 10:10 p.m. report of a disturbance in the 1900 block of Dawes Ave. He said arriving officers and medical personnel treated Becenti before he was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Dear Editor, I wish I could say the new crop of political wannabes new more about the U.S. Constitution regarding problems at the Mexico border and elsewhere than their television ads seem to indicate. Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4 deals with immigration. Section 8 grants Congress the responsibility of the rules of Naturalization. Dear Editor, Nobody likes going to hospital, and sadly I have gone way too many times, but I am so very grateful for the incredible staff at KRMC. One nurse in particular is a superstar. His name is Pip and he works in the Emergency Department. He is kind and caring and really focuses on his patients. He’s also accurate in what he tells you.
