CARL LEROY BURCHFIELD

Carl Leroy Burchfield passed away at his home in Golden Valley, AZ on March 7. He was born April 1, 1935 in Terre Haute, IN to Walter J. and Kathryn (Otte) Burchfield, and resided in Rosedale, IN while growing up.

Carl is survived by Joanith (Joslyn) Burchfield, his wife of 68 years; his two sons Terry L. Burchfield and Timothy M. Burchfield (Lori) of Golden Valley, AZ; brother Larry Burchfield of Terre Haute, IN; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Patricia Bothwell, and foster-son and daughter: Ronald House Burchfield and Gina Buell.

Carl was a loving husband, father to his children, and grandfather to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who affectionately referred to him as Pappa, Grandpa, and Bumpa. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints and was a member of the A.F.M. Masonic Lodge of Rosedale, IN for 61 years. He graduated from Rosedale High School and retired from Hercules Company in 1994. He loved traveling, camping, and cookouts with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by those who loved him.

He will be interred at Roselawn Memorial Park located at 7500 N Clinton St, Terre Haute, IN 47805. Graveside service will take place Friday, April 1 at 3 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join a catered gathering at Collett Park Pavilion following the service.
