Youth Exchange Chair speaks at Rotary

Speaking at Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club’s September 8 meeting was Machel Considine, Rotary District 5495 Youth Exchange InBound Chair. The Rotary In-Bound Youth Exchange Program has been active since 1975. Each year students, ages 15 to18.5  come to the United States from another country and live with Rotary host families while going to school. BHC man charged with abducting, assaulting woman

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City police report the arrest of a man wanted for abducting and assaulting a female earlier this month. Investigation began Sept. 3 when police responded to a report that Christian Hernandez, 42, was firing shots inside a home in the 1000 block of Holly Street where he was searching for a female while angry about a debt. “He found her hiding in a closet and proceeded to beat her,” said police department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt. “He reportedly took her to two other residences in Bullhead City where he continued to beat her and rendered her unconscious….

Upcoming pavement preservation project lane restrictions

KINGMAN, Ariz. – Starting Monday, September 18, 2023 and continuing through the month of October, the City of Kingman will be conducting pavement preservation projects throughout the city. These projects will include chip seal in residential district 1, as well as milling, grading, and paving in the areas listed below. Work is expected to be performed between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
