Dear Editor,
Hebrews 10: 25 says, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more, as ye see the Day approaching.”
In these troublesome times when we are told to stay home, and churches close their doors, we need to understand that, according to God’s word, we are commanded by the Word of God to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is.
So what was Paul talking about here? The second returning of the Lord Jesus to this world to take His church out of here, then bring His judgement upon this world because of sin and iniquity? In these days, when many churches have shut their doors and many people are discouraged from congregating themselves together, we should ask ourselves some serious questions: Am I to obey man or fear the Lord and keep His commandments? It seems as though, in these days, many have fallen away from their faith in God and have gone after the pleasures of this world.
The moral character of our society is almost nonexistent; we are beginning a fight for our lives and for our very existence as a nation. So what can we positively do about this to bring the blessings of God back into our families, our town, our county, and our nation?
We’ve got to get back to church. Yes, the Bible prophesies of a great falling away in the end times (apostasy), but you don’t have to be a part of it. You have a choice: either go with the ungodly crowd or be bold and courageous and go to a church that hasn’t closed its doors?
Remember Psalm 122: 1: “I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord.”
