CASA thanks participants of Superhero 5K walk/run

letter to the editor

CASA Council Helping Children of Mohave County would like to thank all the participants for participating and attending our 8th Annual Superhero 5K Run/Walk event, which was held on April 5, 2025. This year our Superhero was, Captain America!

Despite the weather being a little cold and windy, the participants’ enthusiasm remained motivated and engaged in this great family event. There were approximately 100 participants this year, all dressed in Superhero costumes!  It started with the Kids Dash followed by the 5K Run/Walk and an Awards Ceremony!

There were a lot of smiling faces, especially the children who displayed their medals after crossing the finish line. Healthy snacks and water were provided for everyone.

The awards ceremony was very special and trophies were presented to the overall male and female winners, the male and female masters, and different age categories, both male and female. This was a great event for all and we look forward to our 9th Annual Superhero event next year.

Big “Thanks” to our Sponsors, UniSource Energy Services, Atia and Ahmad S. Khan, Kingman Regional Medical Center, Taco Bell, and Hualapai Kwik Stop.

Thank you again for your continued support and for helping CASA Council to provide this event for the foster children and helping to make a difference in their lives and being their Hero!
