City of Kingman Invites Public to Final Drainage Manual Workshop

KINGMAN –  The City of Kingman is inviting residents, stakeholders, and interested community members to attend a final workshop as part of the development of the City’s updated Drainage Manual.  The workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall (310 N. Fourth Street). Attendees will have the opportunity to review proposed updates and provide input before the manual is finalized.

The City’s current drainage manual was adopted in 1988. In response to changes in development, infrastructure needs, and updated precipitation data, the City’s Engineering Division began work on a new manual in January 2025. The updated document incorporates modern engineering practices and reflects the needs of the community as Kingman continues to grow.

Proposed updates to the manual include revised stormwater storage policies aligned more closely with Mohave County standards, updated street drainage policies designed to enhance public safety, and new guidelines for erosion control and drainage facility maintenance.

Community input is an important part of this process, and all interested participants are encouraged to attend.

For additional information, please contact the City of Kingman Engineering Division at 928-753-8134.
