Drugs, cash weapons seized after traffic stop

BULLHEAD CITY – An assortment of illegal drugs was seized during a Wednesday traffic stop in Bullhead City. Police Department public information officer Emily Fromelt said Chad Henry Loftin, 42, Bullhead City, was taken into custody after the vehicle he was driving was pulled over at about 2:20 p.m. near the intersection of Riverside Drive and Orca Lane.

Fromelt said officers spotted drug paraphernalia in plain view before searching the vehicle.

“Officers located more than two ounces of powdered fentanyl, acid (LSD) strips, various illegal drugs (methamphetamine, counterfeit M-30 pills containing fentanyl and marijuana) packaged for sale, as well as numerous drug paraphernalia items,” a news release said. “Cash believed to be associated in drug sales, two firearms and ammunition were also found in the vehicle.”

Loftin was transported to Kingman and booked into the Adult Detention Facility for a variety of drug offenses, money laundering and a prohibited firearms possession charge.
