KINGMAN — Many businesses and facilities are under construction in Kingman, some of which are near completion. Here is a look at some of the notable ones residents are seeing.
Indiana-based Interstate Warehousing is expanding its frozen food storage and shipping center at the Griffith Energy Industrial park, about 15 miles south of Kingman. The facility was 273,000 sq. ft. when it opened in November, 2023. Another 200,000 sq. ft. is being added as the linear building has been extended toward Interstate 40.
The Mohave Community College Advance Manufacturing Training Center is taking shape on Windrose Lane at the Kingman Airport. Construction began in June, 2024 with grand opening expected this fall.
Construction of the “Reach Out” facility continues just west of the Mohave County Adult Detention Center at 501 W. Highway 66. Newly released inmates will use a detox center and programs to prepare them to lead productive, law-abiding lifestyles as they prepare to transition back into society. Project completion is expected this summer with opening expected later in the year.
Mohave County will soon begin building its new Legal Services Center just north of Law and Justice Center in downtown Kingman. The old jail and a small office that previously housed Juvenile Detention and Victim Advocate services in the past have been demolished as part of the site preparation process.
The Northern Arizona Health Club has begun offering physical therapy services at its new 16,000 sq. ft. facility at 1707 Andy Devine Avenue. The gym portion of the enterprise opens Monday, April 21.
The Hualapai Ranch Market opened in March at 4495 N Bank Street. The enterprise offers a unique meat market and deli, grocery items and a diner with Mexican cuisine.
The Pawn World pawn shop is preparing to relocate from Beale Street in downtown Kingman to the former Kingman Daily Miner building at 3015 Stockton Hill Road.
A Circle K convenience store and fuel island is under construction at the northwest corner of Airway Avenue and Bank Street.
A new Medusa dispensary nears completion at the southwest corner of Airway Avenue and Bank Street.
