NANCY CAROL MCCOY

Our loving mother, Nancy C. McCoy, age 84, entered Heaven peacefully, due to natural causes, on July 28, 2020, in Kingman, Ariz.

She was born on April 12, 1936, to Arthur and Rose Stevenson in Albertson, Long Island, New York. She married the love of her life, our father, Marion “Bud” McCoy on September 7, 1952, in Hempstead, NY. In 1965, they relocated our family to Kingman. Together, they had 11 children. They were married until his passing in 2006.

Despite her large family, Nancy always made time for everyone, as her greatest love was her family. She loved being a housewife and homemaker. She loved cooking and made sure that everyone who ever crossed her path had something to eat. She loved going on late night car rides, with our dad, “around the horn” to secretly check that everything looked peaceful at each of our homes. Mom enjoyed working the elections, and did so for 34 years. She loved trips to Laughlin, Nev., camping, making beaded necklaces and bracelets for everyone she knew, as she also donated hundreds of them to cancer fundraisers, etc. Playing bingo at The Gardens, with her friends, meant “do not disturb” to her family (we loved and respected that).

Nancy is survived by 10 of her children and 35 grandchildren.

Cathy Chadwick, Chris Chadwick (Kristina), Stacey Marlatt (Robert), Marion Arndt (Albert);

Nancy Esquibel (Mark), Casey Robbins (Amy), Lacie Robbins (Tony Campbell), Joseph Dronchi (Chelsea), Derek Esquibel, Misha Whalen (Shane);

Steven McCoy (Kristi Koerber), John McCoy (Nichole), Michael McCoy, Christina McCoy, Daniel McCoy (Loren), Alyssa Lavigne;

George McCoy (Marguerite), Angela Ewing (Will), Alisa Joseph, Julie McCoy, Victoria McCoy, Marco Marquez (Alexandria), Carlo Marquez (Carly);

Carol Miller (Ron), Marcus Pope (Brittany), Brittany Homes (Josh), Ashley Miller, Hailey Miller;

Ann Petersen (Richard), Ryan Petersen (Sabrina), Cody Petersen (Amanda), Amy Meinz (Bradley);

Tim McCoy, Visha Abraham (Brian), Timothy McCoy.

In addition, Nancy has been blessed with 69 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. All of whom she loved very much. Also, many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marion McCoy; daughter Laura Jean; parents Arthur and Rose Stevenson; son-in-law Dixie Chadwick; sisters Maxine Minardi, Audrey Harms and Theresa Leslie; brother Arthur Stevenson; sisters-in-law Maxine Stigen and Viola Guillot; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 11, at 1 p.m. at Kingman Family Worship Center, 4087 N. Eagle Dr., Kingman. A gathering with family and friends will immediately follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Kingman Cancer Care Unit or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
