Northern Ave crash may have been due to medical episode

KINGMAN – A heavy-duty pickup truck left a field of debris when it barreled along Northern Avenue in north Kingman and crashed through a business at Van Nuys Rd., Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 12. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Four Lake Havasu City residents have been arrested following a multiple-month investigation of suspected drug sale activity at a home in the 1600 block of Avalon Avenue. A search of the residence was conducted Tuesday, February 11. “Detectives along with the assistance of the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s newest K-9 ‘Rocky,’ located a usable amount of methamphetamine, a usable amount of marijuana, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia, in addition to several firearms,” said police spokesman Chris Angus. BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead Fire Department (BHCFD), in partnership with the Kingman Fire Department hosted a Leadership Development Academy February 3 through 7. A total of 41 participants from surrounding departments were in attendance. The five-day academy was a joint effort to focus on Leadership and Management Training for Supervisors of the area Fire Departments. BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City is once again gearing up for a large sports tourism weekend that is expected to have a significant impact on the local economy. The 22st Annual Colorado River Open Invitational Tournament (CRIT) is a three-day tournament that will be held Saturday, February 15 through Monday, February 17.
