Lingenfelter in running for Procurement Director

MOHAVE COUNTY – Kingman Vice Mayor Travis Lingenfelter has indicated he’s running for District 1 Mohave County Supervisor, but he’s also a finalist for a County Department head position. Lingenfelter could become County Procurement Director, a position he held years ago. County Human Resources Director Ken Cunningham confirmed that a committee will interview Lingenfelter and another Procurement Director candidate from Florida on Monday morning. He said they topped the field of ten applicants for the position that Becky O’Brien will vacate when she retires in April. Cunningham said O’Brien has been with the county almost five years. The production team will be working with Thunder-Rode Motorcycle Accessories in downtown Kingman to film the segment which will be based on Route 66 and bikers. Thunder-Rode Motorcycle Accessories held submissions for a passionate biker who loves Route 66 and would love to share their passion of The Mother Road with Sophie on the open road. Traffic detection camera installation

KINGMAN – Beginning Monday, March 9, contractors will be installing traffic detection cameras along Stockton Hill Road intersections that include Detroit and Sycamore Avenues. There will be traffic control and reduced speeds in place, while crews are at work. Crews are expected to finish the installation next week, barring any weather delays. These new systems that have been installed at multiple intersections along Stockton Hill Rd. have greatly improved service to our citizens, reduced delays caused by broken loops, and reduced signal maintenance costs; this results in long-term, overall cost savings to the community.
