Kingman Area Regional Transit (KART) is continuing free fare

KINGMAN, Ariz. – The City of Kingman is continuing free fares for the Kingman Area Regional Transit (KART), for the rest of the month of May, and will be reviewed every two weeks moving forward. KART will follow CDC guidelines of no more than 10 people gathered at one time, by limiting occupancy to 9 passengers, plus the driver; and fliers will be posted on each bus regarding these continued safety measures. To reduce the impact that this will have on passengers that may have to be turned away, KART will continue operating on Saturdays to allow the resources to provide…

Nursing home testing getting underway

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Arizona Department of Health Services is sending personnel to Mohave County to conduct COVID-19 testing at seven long term health care facilities. They will be testing patients and staff members for the coronavirus, according to Mohave County Department of Public Health Director Denise Burley. Burley told Mohave County Supervisors Monday that the state agency was also expected to send Personal Protective equipment if needed at those facilities. Special CRUSHD meeting tonight to determine graduation

BULLHEAD CITY – The Colorado River Union High School District governing board will hold a special meeting tonight, Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. to discuss and possibly vote on graduation plans for the Class of 2000 at the District’s three high schools.  Several options were discussed at Tuesday night’s regular board meeting.  Those included a traditional graduation at CRUHSD’s Anderson Auto Group Fieldhouse, a traditional graduation at the Fieldhouse with capacity limits, a virtual graduation and a drive-through graduation on each campus.  Preliminary results of an online SurveyMonkey poll about graduation preferences were also shared.  There will not be a call…

COVID-19 update: Tuesday ends with 260 cases

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Tuesday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of five COVID-19 positive cases in Mohave County. Due to action this week by the Board of Supervisors, the age range reported is now much narrower. Three of the cases are in the Kingman service area. An investigation is pending on two of them. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Authorities seized drugs, cash and weapons and arrested three men in Lake Havasu City last Friday. The activity marked the culmination of a two-month long investigation by police, the MAGNET narcotics task force and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
