MEC returns $1.3 million in capital credits to members

BULLHEAD CITY – Mohave Electric Cooperative’s board of directors has authorized a capital credits return of $1.3 million to members. COVID-19 update: 21 new cases, two deaths

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late this afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 21 new COVID-19 confirmed cases and two deaths.  Some of the cases are related to a long term care facility. Both deaths are in the Bullhead City service area.  One has not been previously reported and is a 90+ person.  The other is a previously reported 70-79 age range person. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Parents charged in a Lake Havasu city toddler homicide case were to enter plea agreements Tuesday, March 19 but the effort derailed when Andrew Lamorie, 24, contested portions of the factual basis provided to justify his guilty plea. Lamorie and Brittany Rodriguez, 27, are charged with first degree murder in the death of their 27-month-old daughter almost 30 months ago. He tossed suitcases full of meth onto I-40 during police chase KINGMAN – An Indio, California man who tossed suitcases full of methamphetamine onto Interstate 40 during a police chase has been given a 7.5-year prison term. The punishment for Pedro Aguirre, 38, was stipulated in a plea agreement convicting him of possession of dangerous drugs for sale.
