Humvee thief gets 12.5 years

KINGMAN – A man who drew police gunfire that injured no one after stealing a vehicle from a Mohave County property in Kingman is going to the Arizona Department of Corrections for 12.5 years. The punishment for Michael Lapeer, 26, Kingman is mandated in a plea agreement that also resolves probation violations. Mohave County psychiatric hospital accepts admissions 24 hours a day

BULLHEAD CITY – Due to COVID-19, Talas Harbor at Bullhead City a 24-bed, Arizona State Licensed inpatient Psychiatric Hospital for geriatric patients has reevaluated its admission protocol and is hoping to provide some relief to emergency room staff handling psychiatric patients. MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Sunday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of  30 new COVID-19 positive confirmed cases and one death. Nineteen of the cases are in the Bullhead City service area; 9 are in the Kingman service area; two are in the Lake Havasu City service area. The one death reported is a 60-69 year age range person, a previously reported case in the Kingman area. Of the 19 Bullhead City area cases, 12 cases remain under investigation.
