
KINGMAN – On Sunday, November 26, at the Kingman Police Department (KPD) arrested David Scott West, 61, of Kingman on the felony charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault, unlawful imprisonment and child abuse.
According to a KPD press release, officers responded to the 2800 block of Ross Avenue for a report of child abuse that had occurred on November 25 at a residence in the 600 block of S. Fourth St. Upon arrival officers learned that West had physically restrained a 15-year-old juvenile that is in his custody and struck the juvenile approximately 30 times with a belt and other objects.
Officers later located West at his residence on Fourth St., where he was taken into custody without incident. According to the release, West admitted his involvement with the child abuse and evidence located on scene corroborated the statements of the victim.
