Thrift store donates merchandise to retail charities

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Are you a frequent second-hand shopper who has always wondered where some of the shops obtain their in store products? Changing Times of Lake Havasu is one of the stores that donates to a couple of local charitable clothing stores. Whenever there is an overflow of product, the thrifty boutique unselfishly hands over their goods.

The family-owned thrift store that is approaching their one year anniversary on August 29, regularly donates to Hospice of Havasu Resale and Clothes Closet. Hospice of Havasu Resale is a not for profit store whose customer purchases all go towards their many programs like the Music and Memory program for dementia patients, We Honor Veterans, and grief support groups.

Clothes Closet is a nonprofit retailer who provides free clothing and food to anyone who is in need. They cater to victims of domestic violence, foster children, the underprivileged, and the homeless. The store is also routinely supported by our local schools and churches.

Hospice of Havasu Resale is open seven days a week. On Sundays the store is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and their Saturday operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Monday through Friday, there is a little bit more time to browse and buy as they  are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. located at 232 London Bridge Road Suite A.

Clothes Closet always has their doors open to the community and is open 24 hours at 1968 Mesquite Avenue. Come out and spend a day thrift store shopping at these two big-hearted shops. You never know what treasures you’ll find, additionally, it all goes back to serve those around us who need the support.
