Registration for the 2025 Master Gardener Training Course is now open

BULLHEAD CITY – This course provides research-based horticulture information you can use as a Master Gardener volunteer or to become a more successful gardener in your own backyard! Topics include soils, basic botany, irrigation, landscape design, composting, plant propagation, basic ecology, vegetables, stake and prune trees/shrubs, citrus trees, native plants, entomology, pest management, and plant diseases. 

The 13-week course will run from January 16 to April 17, 2025 and will be held on Thursday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Man convicted of 12-year prison sentence after stabbing fatality

BULLHEAD CITY – A Bullhead City man who pleaded guilty in a stabbing fatality was sentenced to prison Thursday, as was mandated in a plea agreement entered in Oct. Antonio Rosales-Torres, 44, is convicted of manslaughter in the May 6, 2023 death of Jose Vizcarra, 23, also of Bullhead City.

   Supporters including his wife and children characterized the defendant as a dedicated family man and a loyal and giving friend. And they urged Judge Doug Camacho to exercise leniency in contemplating the 7-12 year range of punishment required under terms of the plea deal.

Boom Box Parade; A Bullhead tradition

BULLHEAD CITY – “Celebration in a Snow Globe” was the theme for Friday’s 26th Annual Boombox Parade hosted by Colorado River Women’s Council.

Hundreds of Bullhead City residents lined Hancock Road in Bullhead City last Friday evening starting at 6pm for the 26th Annual Boombox Parade, an oddly named celebration of the season started 26 years ago by the Council and carried on as Bullhead tradition ever since.
