Public land auction rescheduled for third time

BULLHEAD CITY – The third time was not a charm for state officials attempting to sell some prime real estate in Bullhead City. The Arizona State Land Department drew no bids for more than 292 acres during a June 17 auction in downtown Kingman.

Efforts to sell the public land failed on separate occasions in April and May, and no one bid for the property during the latest auction either. The property is bounded by SR 95 to the east and the Bullhead Parkway at its southern edge.

Tracy Clark, authorized representative for the Arizona State Land Department and the Arizona State Land Commissioner addressed some 10 auction onlookers.

“The Arizona State Land Commissioner finds it in the best interest of the Trust to adjourn the auction,” Clark said. “Therefore, I hereby declare that the Arizona State Land Department public auction #53-124541 is adjourned to July 8, 2025 at 11 o’clock.”

The property is appraised at $4,820,000 and it’ll take a minimum bid of that amount or more to secure it at auction next month.
