Fugitive apprehended in Bullhead City

BULLHEAD CITY – An alleged one-man crime wave has been apprehended in Bullhead City. Richard Leonard, a fugitive named in arrest warrants for a number of incidents in Feb. and March, has been taken into custody. Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said Leonard, 21, was arrested Monday, March 25 in the area of Highway 95 and Sixth St. “Over the past two months, Leonard entered the restricted area inside managers’ offices at three different businesses and stole money, phones, keys and other items,” Fromelt said. “He was also identified as a suspect in vehicle thefts, including an incident where he crashed…

Pedestrian killed by train

KINGMAN – A deadly train-pedestrian fatality incident is under investigation in Kingman. Deputy police chief Joel Freed said officers responded about 9:10 p.m. on Friday, March 22 to the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad train tracks near East Andy Devine and Fairgrounds Boulevard. Freed said a subject dead at the scene was identified as Yolman Ruiz Salvatierra, 21, South Gate, California. “Investigators found trauma consistent with being struck by a train,” Freed said. Freed said it is unclear why Salvatierra came to be in the area and how he was struck and fatally injured.

El Salvador man killed in motorcycle crash

KINGMAN – A weekend traffic fatality is under investigation by the Kingman Police Department. Deputy Police Chief Joel Freed said the motorcycle crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5 in the area of Stockton Hill Road and Johnson Avenue. “A motorcycle ridden by Alexis Bladmimir Guevara Coca, 21, El Salvador, was traveling southbound on North Stockton Hill Road approaching Johnson Avenue when he lost control of the motorcycle striking the curb,” Freed said. ?“Coca was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained major injuries.” Freed said emergency personnel stabilized Coca, who died following life flight to Sunrise Medical Center in…
