SWAT team involved in BHC arrest

Jack Gonzalez

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City Police report the midnight arrest of a man wanted for a series of shootings during which no one was injured in July. A felony arrest warrant for Jack Alan Gonzalez, 33, had previously issued for conspiracy to commit second degree murder and discharging a firearm at a residence.

Agency spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said police received a tip Friday afternoon that Gonzalez was in Laughlin. She said Gonzalez eluded police during a foot pursuit that originated at a Laughlin hotel.

“Later in the evening members of the Bullhead City Police Department and GIITEM detectives received information that Gonzalez was located in a residence in the 1700 block of Central Avenue,” Fromelt said. “Upon arrival, officers issued several warnings for Gonzalez to surrender.”

Fromelt said the SWAT team was activated when Gonzalez refused to comply with warnings and directives. “The SWAT team eventually deployed gas into the residence causing Gonzalez to surrender.”

Gonzalez was taken into custody at about 12:00 a.m. Saturday, transported to Kingman and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Center.
