MOHAVE COUNTY — Southwest Behavioral & Health Services (SB&H) has been awarded a three-year accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). CARF International is an independent, nonprofit organization that accredits health and human service providers, focusing on enhancing service quality, value, and outcomes through a consultative, person-centered review process.
“This accreditation reaffirms our commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly makes a difference in our communities,” said Erica Missicano, Chief Quality Officer at SB&H. “It reflects the dedication of our staff and our promise to support individuals with services that are not only effective but grounded in empathy and respect.”
SB&H’s accreditation is effective through April 30, and applies to the following programs:
- Crisis Stabilization: Integrated: SUD/Mental Health (Adults)
- Day Treatment: Integrated: SUD/Mental Health (Adults)
- Inpatient Treatment: Integrated: SUD/Mental Health (Adults)
- Integrated Behavioral Health/Primary Care: Comprehensive Care (Adults)
- Integrated Behavioral Health/Primary Care: Comprehensive Care (Children and Adolescents)
- Outpatient Treatment: Integrated: SUD/Mental Health (Adults)
- Outpatient Treatment: Integrated: SUD/Mental Health (Children and Adolescents)
- Prevention Services: Integrated: SUD/Mental Health (Children and Adolescents)
- Residential Treatment: Integrated: SUD/Mental Health (Adults)
- Residential Treatment: Mental Health (Autism Spectrum Disorder-Adults)
Headquartered in Phoenix, SB&H is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization providing integrated primary care, mental health, and substance use treatment services. SB&H delivers a full continuum of care including outpatient behavioral health services, psychiatric medication management, addiction treatment, crisis stabilization, residential programs, supported housing, prevention and outreach initiatives, school-based counseling, lifespan services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and four opioid replacement treatment clinics.
SB&H operates throughout the greater Phoenix metropolitan area and also serves rural communities in Maricopa, Gila, Mohave, Coconino, and Yavapai counties.
